Xiao Chuan Xie

XiaoChuan Xie, LCAT, BC-DMT, is a licensed creative arts therapist, and a board-certified dance/movement therapist. She holds an MS from Sarah Lawrence College, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at European Graduate School. As a dancer and interdisciplinary artist, Chuan is a Clive Barnes Award and Astaire Award nominee for her excellent performance in the Martha Graham Dance Company and The King and I on Broadway. She continues to facilitate and produce community-based creative works advocating for a more inclusive and compassionate society. As an arts therapist, her clinical work and research have focused on embodied relational understanding through the arts. Chuan recently founded Aether Institute (AetherInstitute.org), a non-profit organization based in Northwest Arkansas, to promote the healing power of the arts.
